Our deepest gratitude and a warm farewell…

Casper “Desmo” Rasmussen joined us towards the end of our 2023 season, assisting us in our first attempt at lifting the Challengers EMEA Ascension trophy. After Dimitar “Itopata” Staev’s departure, Desmo was promoted to Strategic Coach, while Danail “DANNYTO” Sofroniev took over the reins as Head Coach. After an incredible season in which Desmo played an integral role in our success, we bid farewell to one of the brightest minds in Valorant esports.

I want to thank APEKS for an amazing 2024. It’s been great spending the year with all of these hard-working people. Winning Ascension 2024 with these guys will forever be one of my fondest memories of my esports career. I cannot wait to see how the team turns out and I’m really excited to watch them in EMEA next VCT Season.” – Casper “Desmo” Rasmussen

Dom “soulcas” Sulcas is one of the most tenured players in the EMEA circuit, having joined Team Liquid in August 2020 and competing under their banner until joining our roster in December 2023. While dealing with very difficult circumstances at home, soulcas delivered an incredible performance on the server, earning him the Challengers: North MVP award in Split 1 of the regular season. We can only begin to express our gratitude to soulcas for providing such an unwavering performance during the most trying times.

“This year with Apeks is something that I will hold onto for the rest of my life. They helped me get through the worst personal moments I’ll ever experience and allowed me to take time to slowly get back on my feet. That’s something I’ll never forget. This team genuinely was something special and I wish everyone the absolute best.” – Dom “soulcas” Sulcas

Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski joined our team as a young rising talent, having shown impressive results while playing for Zero Tenacity in the Polish Valorant circuit. Kajetan had big shoes to fill when replacing Georgio “Keiko” Sanassy who left Apeks to compete in VCT EMEA for Team Liquid at the end of 2023. With almost no practice together as a team, the 2024 Apeks roster featuring Kaajak, Molsi, AvovA, Hype, and Soulcas – entered their first tournament in Cairo, Egypt. SuperDome Egypt presented our first challenge of the year, playing under difficult conditions, without much preparation, as well as it being Kajetans first big LAN event. Despite a rough start, we showed more form towards the end, beating BBL 15-13 in a Best of 1.

Entering the regular season in Challengers Europe: North, Kajetan quickly became a fierce contender in the league. After a dominating regular season, Kajetan was awarded the Challengers: North MVP award for his performance in Split 2. Kajetan exceeded all our expectations during the 2024 season and helped secure us another spot in this year’s Ascension tournament.

“It was an amazing year that we had in APEKS. I’m always gonna be thankful that I got a chance to play in this team. There were a lot of ups and downs but we always managed to get through it together. I’m really happy that APEKS advanced to VCT and I wish the best for them . I also wanna thank everyone that I played with and the management staff, because they are all the best <3. Thanks for everything that I learned this year that I’m always gonna remember. -Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski

With the painful memories of falling short at the finish line the year prior, we watched nervously as the team clawed its way through the group stage. Their incredible determination and due diligence eventually brought us over the finish line and secured our spot in the upcoming EMEA VCT season. Their incredible journey from the first bootcamp to raising the Ascension EMEA trophy at the Riot Arena in Berlin has all been captured in a documentary that we can’t wait to share. Coming into the new year we promise to build upon their legacy and achieve new goals. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and best of luck in the coming season!

See you on the battlefield!
