VALORANT has been one of the most talked about games since its launch in 2020, and is looking to see continued growth throughout 2023. While we are already ‘late to the party’, we saw an exciting new opportunity to enter the space with the recent format changes, and several top players suddenly becoming available.
“There was extensive research and a lot of effort put into establishing a solid long-term strategy for this project. There are always going to be risks involved, especially with the ambitions we have, but our overall VALORANT strategy is highly focused on mitigating these risks in various ways.” – Einar Grannes (Project Lead)
The past year has been difficult for many esports organizations and 2023 is going to be no exception. While some teams had to close their doors, others have been scaling back to their most sustainable titles. Riot Games has had a long and fruitful relationship with the esports industry, and VALORANT has proven to be yet another example of that.
“Riot Games has a proven track record in esports and are known for their high standards and quality work. Apeks is built on the fundamental goal of raising the standards in esports. We bring experience and professionalism from the traditional sports industry and love working with partners such as Riot Games who reflect our ambition of improving the industry.” – Espen Berg Knutsen (CEO)
With little time to work with and a lot to prepare, the past few weeks have been incredibly hectic. Everyone at the company came together and worked tirelessly throughout December with negotiations and contract preparations running into the late evenings.
“We want to extend a huge ‘Thank you!’ to all the agents who sacrificed a lot of their holiday to bring contracts across the finish line and went to great lengths to accommodate some of these transfers. We can’t wait to kick off the upcoming season and start writing a new chapter in our legacy as Apeks.” – Anders Kjær (Head of Esports)
As with any other Apeks title, we are here to win! The team is heading into the VALORANT Challengers season with one goal in mind, winning Ascension. Reaching that goal against several other teams with incredibly strong individual players will require a well-rounded, and synergized team effort.

“I am delighted to join Apeks and to have the opportunity to build a successful team from the ground up with the aim of qualifying for VCT through ascension. Our team is a perfect mix of experience and talent and with all the knowledge that I have gained in recent years, I will do my best to develop the team and create our own formula for success” – Enzo ‘Enzo’ Mestari (In-game Leader)
Among the more prolific names on our roster is a younger talent who has been wreaking havoc under BONK during the past few months. We are incredibly excited to bring aboard Georgio ‘Keiko’ Sanassy, and can’t wait to watch his development throughout the upcoming season.
“I’m excited to work with everyone in Apeks, the entire roster has so much experience to offer. I think I can really develop as a player with these people helping me and I can’t wait to see what 2023 has to offer.” – Georgio ‘Keiko’ Sanassy (Duelist)

There are still more parts of this project to be revealed, and we promise to share a lot of content and allow our fans to be a huge part of this journey!
