We have made the difficult decision to not extend Pål “Polly” Kammen’s professional contract, when it expires on June 30th. Pål has been with us from the very beginning, making this decision all the more challenging. Unfortunately, we have not performed as well as we expected, despite the resources allocated to our CS:GO main team. Ultimately, results are what matter most.
To help us achieve our long-term goal of qualifying for a CS:GO Major, Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg will be temporarily stepping away from Rebels and providing his expertise to the main team. We have incredible confidence in Torbjørn’s abilities and believe that his skills will be of tremendous benefit to the team during this time.
Effective immediately, Pål will be assisting with analytical work and other projects within the club.
We also want to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to “Polly” for his four years at Apeks, both as a player and coach. His contributions have left an indelible mark on our organization. Among our many successes during his tenure were qualifying for the RMR, winning the Tipsport Cup Bratislava, and achieving multiple triumphs in the Norwegian league, Telialigaen, before we went international with our lineup. Pål “Polly” Kammen will always be a cherished member of our Apeks family.
